Clay Bar

Detailing clay removes contaminants from the surface of your paint that car washing cannot remove. When claying your vehicle you removing contaminants like overspray, brake dust, paint transfer, and much more. The finishing product is amazingly smooth and topped with a protectant such as sealant or wax the shine is one others cannot stop staring at. 

When claying your vehicle you want to keep your vehicle lubricated with clay lubricant so you limit the risk of harming or scratching your paint. If done properly claying is a must have to keep your vehicle top knotch.

You want to start with washing your vehicle to remove any loose dirt or contaminants off the surface of your vehicle. You only need to tear off a piece of the clay and when you start the process lubricate the surface and glide the clay across the surface with light pressure. To check to see if you did the area as perfect as possible take a plastic bag and place your hand inside rub across the treated area to see if the area is smooth. You want to do just a small area at a time rolling over your clay to clean sides as it gets dirty so it stays fresh. Use a microfiber towel to wipe down the area that is treated to remove lubricant and debris and go back over with a fresh microfiber to buff.
